We hope you will come enjoy the company of your friends and fellow PLC members at PLC’s 49th Annual Meeting on Saturday, November 2nd at the New Boston Library. The business meeting will include a report on our achievements over the past year, the treasurer’s report, and the election of new trustees and officers. After that we’ll enjoy homemade soups, breads and desserts. This year’s featured speaker is David Brooks, science reporter for The Concord Monitor, blogger at Granite Geek, contributor at NH Public Radio, and PLC volunteer property monitor! Post-Thanksgiving Walk – Thomas & Houghton Preserves

When:   Saturday, November 30       Time: 1pm – 3pm
Where:  New Boston

Join PLC on Saturday, November 30th for an afternoon woods walk at our George Thomas Wildlife Sanctuary and newly-protected Houghton Family Preserve in New Boston. The properties are adjacent to each other and we’ll explore both! The walk starts at 1:00 PM and will last about ninety minutes. The walk will be off trail over moderately strenuous terrain, so this is definitely an opportunity to burn off some of those Thanksgiving leftovers! Like all our outings the walk is free but registration is required.

Deering Lake Paddle

Mid-summer is the time to be outdoors enjoying our region’s lakes, ponds, rivers and sun-dappled woods. So don’t miss our late-afternoon paddle on beautiful Deering Lake on Saturday August 10th — it’s one of most popular outings and space is limited to 20 paddlers. Registration is required, but the event is free!

5th Annual Rose Mountain Rumble

PLC’s Rose Mountain Rumble benefit cycling event returns to the dirt roads of Lyndeborough and surrounding towns on Saturday, August 24th, 2019. The 5th Annual Rumble once again welcomes riders of every ability, offering a variety of loops ranging from a scenic 20-miler to a full 100K course that will challenge the most hardened gravel grinder. Lobster by the River

When:   Monday, September 2             Time: 4pm
Where: Parker’s Mill, New Boston

Spend the evening of Labor Day with your friends, family and fellow PLC members at our annual Lobster by the River fundraiser at Parker Mill in New Boston. For the uninitiated, the event is a traditional New England lobster bake, prepared right on the banks of the Piscataquog River. It’s a truly great way to end the summer.
